Who we are
Hunter Care Ltd - Supporting Life Education, Hunter Region is a community-based, independent organisation working in partnership with schools, community organisations and Hunter businesses to raise funds to ensure Life Education programs are delivered to children of the Hunter region.

Hunter Life Education was established in 1985 by concerned parents and has operated continuously in the region since.
Each year we deliver the Life Education message to over 30,000 children in Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
What we do
Life Education has been empowering children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education for nearly 40 years. As Australia's largest preventative health organisation, we endeavour to empower children to live a safe and healthy life through education.
Education on healthy lifestyle habits from an early age can significantly reduce the burden of disease in this country.
"Approximately 32 per cent of Australia’s total burden of disease can be attributed to modifiable risk factors that include smoking, alcohol abuse, physical inactivity, high blood pressure and blood cholesterol, low consumption of fruits and vegetables and overweight and obesity."
